What types of photography do you specialize in?

As a photographer in Fort Mill, SC, I specialize in sports, portraits, couples, engagements, senior pics, prom pics, and landscape photography. Whether you’re looking for a timeless headshot, dynamic game-day moments, scenic prints, or something meaningful with your significant other - I’ve got you covered. Bottom line, I can do just about any type of photography, so let me know what your goals are and what you are looking to achieve.

Who have I photographed for and how long have I been taking pictures?

I’ve taken picture for many different events and people since 2020. I’ve taken professional headshots, spent the last 5 years taking action shots for local and travel soccer clubs, volleyball teams, football teams, engagement photos, prom pics, senior pics, traveled to remote locations for landscape shots, captured unique pictures of flowers, plants, the sun and moon, and more. If you can imagine it, I can capture it.

Where do you shoot?

I shoot from my home in Fort Mill for portraits or headshots, and I shoot on-location around the Fort Mill and Charlotte area. If you have a specific location in mind, let me know. I’m also happy to suggest locations based on what you are trying to accomplish or the vibe you are trying to achieve.

Do you travel for sessions?

Yes. I’m available for travel, but in very limited circumstances. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance. I’ve taken pictures in multiple states and as far away as Hawaii. Reach out and let’s talk details.

Do you have some helpful tips or things I should know about professional photography??

Yes! Check out this page from a fellow photographer. She walks through many different things for consideration, including preparing for photo shoots, backing up pictures, and other unique things that can help you learn different things, better understand what you are truly looking for and more.

How do I book a session?

Booking is simple - just head over to the contact now page, fill out the short contact form, and I’ll get back to you within a few days to discuss and confirm.

How far in advance should I schedule?

To ensure availability, I recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance. I’m on the road frequently so the more time we can plan the better. If you’re working with a tighter timeline, feel free to reach out - I’ll do my best to accommodate your request.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Once we connect and agree to a time and date, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date and time. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session.

What happens if there is bad weather?

No worries - I keep an eye on the forecast around Fort Mill and the greater Charlotte area. If we’re planning on an outdoor session and the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.

How long does a typical session last?

It depends. If we are doing a headshot or portraits, it can last 10 to 20 minutes. If I’m at a game capturing action shots, I’ll be there for the game. For the past several years, I’ve been taking pictures for the Catawba Ridge Men’s Soccer Team. If we are taking prom pictures or couples engagement shots as an example, it can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours.

What camera equipment do I use?

I shoot with Nikon Mirrorless Cameras. It’s the latest technology and the pictures that can be produced from the equipment are second-to-none. I have a range of lenses for various types of pictures from wide-angle landscape shots to zoom lenses to catch every moment on the field.

What should I wear?

Wear something that makes you feel like you. In the summer months in Fort Mill it can be quite hot, so keep that in mind. Solid colors work well, and avoiding busy patterns helps keep the focus on you. Click here to see a complete guide on what to wear from a fellow photographer. My wife and I are happy to help with outfit ideas before your session!

When will I get my photos?

You’ll receive a preview of your photos within a few days. Your full gallery will be delivered in 2-4 weeks. It’s important to let me know in advance how you want your photos. In other words, do you want just digital pictures or print, or both? I have a third-party service that I work with for professional prints called Pixieset. See more information below.

How will I receive my images, and can I print them?

You’ll get a link to your own private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your photos in high resolution. You’ll have full printing rights for personal use. You can print them yourself or order professional prints as noted through my third-party site. If you want professional print photos as mentioned above, please let me know so I can share the pictures through a professional photography site called Pixieset. It’s important to share with me what types of professional prints you are looking for and I can ensure the link is set-up for you to be able to purchase the professional prints you desire. Pixieset professional pictures really bring the images to life and provide a life-time keepsake of your photos.

Do you offer retouching?

Yes - every photo you receive is professionally edited and lightly retouched. I use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. If you’d like more detailed edits, just let me know.
