Behind the Lens Series - 5-year Region Champs

I’ve been fortunate enough over the past four years to be able to capture action shots for the Catawba Ridge High School Men’s Soccer Team. It has been an amazing experience, being on the field and capturing moments that will last for generations. The heart and grit of the teams I’ve been around has been second-to-none. Of course, having a coach that is at the top of his game makes a significant difference as well.

One of the special moments was in May 2025. The team moved up into the 5A competition bracket, but that didn’t stop Coach McCarter and the team from dominating on the pitch. When they won the region for the 5th year in a row, it really was such an amazing accomplishment. In addition to that, five of the ten graduating seniors were moving on to collegiate level soccer, with one player playing at the D-1 level.
