Behind the Lens Series - Engagement Photos

This was a special moment for me to be a part of. I got a call from a friend of mine whose son played soccer with my son on the local high school and club soccer teams. He shared with me that their older son planned to propose to his then girlfriend and asked if I’d be willing to take the photos for them.

We connected on the phone to discuss the setting and what he was looking for and agreed to take the photos in a local park called Anne Springs Close Greenway. We discussed location, how we would make it happen so that his fiancé was suprised, etc. I also had my daughter and her husband with me as well to help lower the suspicion when they walked up that something big was about to happen! We planned to take the pictures near the lake during golden hour at sunset. It couldn’t have been a prettier backdrop and we were able to capture so many great photos of the special occasion.

These are the kind of moments that excite me as a photographer - sharing in life’s special moments and capturing them for generations to see.
